SANLAM’S FASHION SPONSORSHIP

Thirteen SMME Cut Make and Trim owners in the clothing industry in Cape Town received much-needed office equipment and software packages in July 2007.

Spearheaded by SANLAM as another initiative of its flagship fashion sponsorship, the donation of PCs, computers, monitors, printer/scanner/fax machines and business software packages to the value of some R30 000 per company were co-sponsored by some of SANLAM’s business partners Dell Computers, Lexmark SA and Bula.

The business equipment and software is aimed at enhancing business practices in the companies as part of the bigger fashion/textile value chain, and improving client communication and services, such as invoicing, quoting on work, and cash-flow management.

SANLAM’s sponsorship programme in the fashion/clothing/textile industry is designed to benefit and inspire the local and national clothing industry of whom CLOTEX is a support service provider.

As part of this support programme, Sanlam Cobalt, specialising in financial solutions and services to the SMME market, has also allocated one of its senior business experts, Gavin Reddy, who assisted the companies in practical in-depth financial business training.
